Seeking Clarity
When we seek clarity,
what we seek is energy.
I
When we are fully-consumed with an issue, it becomes a replaying worry. The replay, the continuous uncertainty, leads to anxiety.
Anxiety, from the latin “angere,” means to choke, constrict, narrow.
Thus, when we feel anxious, we lose perspective, we lose sight.
II
Light (clarity) is energy.
When we experience a moment of illumination (“aha”), clear direction, we are filled with Divine fuel that propels us.
When enlightenment arrives, the narrowing blinders dissolve.
Solitude shifts to sharing.
Worry transforms to creativity.
Static energy converts to kinetic energy.
And, when static energy converts to kinetic energy, it releases light (i.e. lightning).
III
When we feel “stuck,” “uncertain,” “anxious,” what we seek is light energy.
Notably, light energy:
is the only form of energy visible to the human eye; and
allows us to see the surrounding world.
IV
With this in mind, the questions become:
First, can we patiently devote ourselves to our challenge, with unwavering faith that illumination will arrive, at the Divinely appointed time?
Second, amidst our anxiety, how may we practice awareness, so we may recognize and receive God’s light when it arrives for us?
And, when we receive God’s light, before jubilantly running with it, may we pause to express gratitude for His infinite grace and generosity.
